Posted by Lasey on May 12th, 2010 While many of my friends are out exploring the city that we all have come to love, I am usually at home checking up on world current events. I have decided to study world affairs in college and I am sure that by having knowledge of all existing situations, it will help me not only to get into a better college; it will also help me down the road in my studies.
I talked with a friend who has been in college for two years now and he suggested that I stay on top of world current events now, and it would really pay off when I got to the university that I plan to attend. He says that professors love it when their students know about all the past things that have happened and can hold intellectual conversations about it.
I still get out with my friends every now and again, but planning for my future is something that I want to be in control of. I know what I want to do with the rest of my life and making sure that I achieve my goals; will always come first for me. I have already started to check out different universities and am starting to narrow down my choices.
Posted by Lasey on May 7th, 2010 We own a pet shop in a busy commercial district. The competition is quite fierce since this kind of business has specialized customers with special needs. People, especially the ones that are into pets, are very meticulous and very aggressive about the services and products that they buy for their pets. At times, they take their pets with them when they go shopping and I could sense that they have this distinct look whenever they go inside my pet shop. If my memory serves me right, they always give these not so good stares and cover their noses once in a while when inside my pet shop. I began to investigate about this peculiar situation that I have seen for the last six months. I thought it was just animal smell but most pet lovers could endure animal stink since they are with animals all the time. Then, a customer suggested about awning maintenance and changing the look outside of my store. But I was overjoyed about the suggestion of my loyal customer. I appreciated it more because it means they care about my business.
Also, a friend of mine suggested that I try pressure washing because the pet shop will look spic and span. I searched online and I found this really nice site for cleaning and their customers are all satisfied of the services they offer. I immediately contacted them and told them about the situation of my store. We made a schedule for cleaning. And the rest was history for my pet shop. Customers’ level of satisfaction increased all the way. So, thanks!
Posted by Lasey on May 6th, 2010 I knew that finding EPS foam signs would not be that hard. I had seen them advertised on the internet a few times. I just needed to find a company that would be willing to think about giving us a price break. Our school only had a small budget but we desperately needed to have a new sign put into place. I knew that paying for a new brick one was out of the question and there were lots of foam sculptures that I had seen that look almost better than brick.
I had a list of ten different companies that I had found, to contact about the EPS foam signs. I started with the company that was located closest to the school, in hopes that they might feel it would be good to give back to the community with giving us a big discount. The person that could make that decision was on vacation, so I moved onto the next company.
I explained our situation and how we enjoyed seeing all of the other foam sculptures around town and came up with this idea. The woman on the other end of the phone told me that they would be happy to work with us and they could also meet our budgeted amount and give us exactly what we needed and wanted in a sign.
Posted by Lasey on May 3rd, 2010 The business checks that I ordered about two days ago have already been delivered. I used to have to wait for a couple of weeks with my old company, so I was really surprised when these came so quickly. If they can get them to me that fast, I think that I might switch my personal checks to them too. I tried to keep them separate, since I use two different banks for the accounts but I guess that if I can get them delivered faster, that is who I should be using.
My business checks are just a plain green color and my personal checks have some little teddy bears on them. If the company that I am switching to does not have my teddy bears, then I will just have to find something else that I like.
