Compassionate Consumers

I knew that finding EPS foam signs would not be that hard. I had seen them advertised on the internet a few times. I just needed to find a company that would be willing to think about giving us a price break. Our school only had a small budget but we desperately needed to have a new sign put into place. I knew that paying for a new brick one was out of the question and there were lots of foam sculptures that I had seen that look almost better than brick.

I had a list of ten different companies that I had found, to contact about the EPS foam signs. I started with the company that was located closest to the school, in hopes that they might feel it would be good to give back to the community with giving us a big discount.  The person that could make that decision was on vacation, so I moved onto the next company.

I explained our situation and how we enjoyed seeing all of the other foam sculptures around town and came up with this idea. The woman on the other end of the phone told me that they would be happy to work with us and they could also meet our budgeted amount and give us exactly what we needed and wanted in a sign.

I got a new catalog in the mail last week from a company that I have never heard of. In fact, I actually think that they must be new, since I looked them up online and they do not even have a website. They sell wrought iron doors and iron storm doors for great prices. I just recently remodeled my kitchen, so there is just no way that I could afford to put any kind of new doors on my house.

I did however find quite a few that I really liked. I took the catalog with me to work the next day, just in case one of my coworkers wanted to order something from it. When I came back into the break room, later that day, where I had left the catalog of storm doors and things, it was gone. I guess that one of the doctors had picked it up and said that he and his wife had been looking to replace the entry doors on their house and he thought that she would really like them.

I am so happy to be able to pass along stuff like that, that is not going to do me any good. If I had just thrown the catalog away, because I was not going to use it, then the doctor and his wife might not have found the right doors that they want for their house.

I would not have thought to check for insurance, since I thought that it was a law that contractors had to have insurance.

I would never have thought that there were actually that many different types. I was really thinking that I wanted hardwood flooring, but now I am leaning more towards ceramic tile.

I had contacted a different flooring Raleigh company only a few years ago, but after getting the estimate, realized that I would have to put it off for a while. The estimate was for triple the amount that I thought it would be. Now that I have the money, I cannot find that flooring Raleigh company anywhere. I am thinking that they must have gone out of business or changed their name because they are not in the phonebook anymore.

I think that my husband could use some serious help with organizing the garage and thought that this might be the right company to do it. I called the garage organizers Raleigh company to see how far they would travel to do an estimate and we were within their service area so I set up a date and time for them to come over.

I did not tell my husband about the estimate and since he was going to be gone for a week working, I thought that they might be able to do it and it would just be a surprise for him when he got home.

The Honda lawnmower that I bought last spring still runs great, even after being hit by my sixteen year old son when he pulled into the garage about a month ago. It might have a little dent in it but that has not affected the way it cuts the grass. I have never owned a Honda lawnmower prior to this one but I am now a customer for life. It is the fastest and most efficient lawnmower that I have ever used.

I remember the store that I bought it from was clearance out all the older models and this Honda lawnmower was the last one they had left. I even got them to give me another ten percent off of the already discounted price since it was a floor model. My husband thought that I might have wasted our money when I brought it home but he unloaded it and started the lawnmower right up and had the lawn cut in not time.

I used it a few times at the end of fall, to mulch up the leaves and found that it was very light and easy to maneuver around the deck, the swing set and the trees. I plan on actually handling the cutting of the lawn more this year then I have ever before.

I have always been the one to contact the plumbing fixtures company and place the orders or if something needed to be repaired but I have decided to hand over that responsibility to my manager. He has worked for me for ten years now and really needs to start taking the reins little by little. I will probably retire sometime in the next five years and by that time; I hope to teach him everything he needs to know about this company.

I gave him his first task with handling the plumbing fixtures company and told him to work with them redesigning the bathrooms. I think that he was a little shocked that I trusted him to make such big decisions but I would still oversee everything but just from a distance.

My manager chose to install a waterless urinal in the men’s restroom and I thought that it was a great idea. Not only would it cut down on water costs, but it would look clean and modern too. I made sure that he did not break the budget with the purchase of the waterless urinal and he did not, that is when I knew that he could handle it.
