Solving Storage Problems with HP Storage
Computers August 26th, 2010In the days of the typewriter, the biggest problem in file management came from lack of space. As paper files were stacked atop one another, huge file cabinets were required to store and preserve them for future use. Today with computers space is no longer an issue since most companies have turned to HP Storage for data safekeeping and retrieval. But still there are storage problems that need to be addressed.
Offices with multiple computers often need to share files often and individual storage makes it difficult and slow. Storing files in one computer that need to be accessed from another is a nightmare especially if the user assigns passwords and other security features. This pose a really big problem when the person in charge of the file is not around.
For this reason HP SAN was developed. Data retrieval and sharing is faster and easier. SAN stands for Storage Area Network. This means all data and files can be saved in one location but can be accessed from different areas in the work place. It’s particularly useful for email sharing and file storage for big files like videos.
