I have long wished to renovate our backyard. Although what we have at present is not really terrible, it is found in the borderline of boring and dull. As an artist who lives abusing the beauty of things and people through photographs, I just couldn’t live with that. When I was younger, I did not really care, but now, I can’t believe that I wasn’t able to dare to change it a long time ago.

Now, what we have are just plants. In fairness to my mother, they are all well planted and taken care of. However, I feel that I have to do something to make the flowers look more alive, and to transform our backyard from a simple garden, into a small patch of our own version of heaven on earth. I surveyed our garden one day and I decided that what it needed is a water feature and place cute little stepping stones which would lead to a patio or a small gazebo. Luckily, my friend suggested a very famous company who do very beautiful landscaping design Raleigh; I am planning to hire them and hoping that after their work, I could make our backyard a subject of my next exhibit.
