There is a question that I asked a friend not long ago when I was still starting to learn to play golf. Does planning help in playing golf? He looked at me and gave me that “are you serious?” kind of look and told me that it didn’t cross his mind. Usually, when you play golf planning comes after the first shot. Everyone’s “plan” is to make the ball go near the cup on their first shot, and on some rare occasions make a “hole in one”.

I find this question very interesting because I don’t usually plan anything when I play golf. All I have in mind is to learn perfect golf swing. That is my personal game plan when I go to the greens and hit it off with friends. Although people say that they have “plans on how to win” and the likes, it never occurred to me that those are real plans. I think that the actions that they will take, depends on the positioning of the ball after their first shot. Well, if the ball landed according to “their plans” then that is a different matter all together. I doubt if planning helps in playing Golf, of course that is my opinion.
