A range of enhancements have come up with the Canon Ixus 70 digital camera, based on users feedback across the globe. It has now a new high resolution (230k pixels) PureColor LCD screen, which offers users a wide range of visual benefits. Colour tones in this digital camera have been enhanced by 30% for vibrant, true-to-life colour reproduction. The screen’s wide viewing angle is complemented by an anti-reflective coating, which makes photography qualitative and clear images even in brightly-lit conditions. A scratch-resistant layer provides extra protection against knocks and scrapes.

The new model scores over various old models in the Canon ixus series digital cameras because now it has got more megapixels at 7.1 with DIGIC III replacing the DIGIC II available in earlier models. Free detection AE/AF and FE and introduction of noise reduction technology has improved its interface quite a bit. The best feature is the 17 shooting modes plus colors photo effects along with the 30fps VGA Movies and Time lapse Movie functions provided now.

Like certain other contemporary digital cameras, with Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera and Canons own products like the Canon G9 now the introduction of DIGIC III processor reduces the risk of blurred or poorly exposed photographs. It optimizes the focus and exposure accordingly. The system has in fact enhanced the IXUS 70 features for fast and accurate photography.
