While many of my friends are out exploring the city that we all have come to love, I am usually at home checking up on world current events. I have decided to study world affairs in college and I am sure that by having knowledge of all existing situations, it will help me not only to get into a better college; it will also help me down the road in my studies.

I talked with a friend who has been in college for two years now and he suggested that I stay on top of world current events now, and it would really pay off when I got to the university that I plan to attend. He says that professors love it when their students know about all the past things that have happened and can hold intellectual conversations about it.

I still get out with my friends every now and again, but planning for my future is something that I want to be in control of. I know what I want to do with the rest of my life and making sure that I achieve my goals; will always come first for me. I have already started to check out different universities and am starting to narrow down my choices.
