The last thing that I thought I would be doing this weekend, is selling jewelry to a local pawn shop. My car broke down on Wednesday and the mechanic says that it will be over twelve hundred dollars to fix it. I have about half of that in my checking account, but just have no idea where to get the rest. That is when I thought if I started selling old jewelry that I do not wear anymore, but was expensive when I bought it, I might be able to come up with most of the difference.

I called a local pawn shop to see how I would go about selling old jewelry to them and they just told me to bring it in and they would take a look and make me an offer. I dug out all the old pieces that I got from my ex husband from when we were married and started adding up in my head what he must have paid for these things brand new. I could have bought a new car and paid cash with the money, had he just put it into a savings account but instead he bought me bobbles.

After leaving the pawn shop and selling jewelry to them for over five thousand dollars, I almost wished that I had done this earlier. I was going to be able to pay for the repairs to my car and also put some money away for any other unexpected things that may arise.
