I was only going to check out how much I could get for the necklaces from the gold buyers that were at the antique show. I never intended on actually selling them, but after hearing how much they were willing to give me, I would be a fool to not take it. I had been given those necklaces by my great grandmother and she told me that she was just cleaning out her jewelry box and if I did not like them, then to just throw them away. I played dress up for many years with my friends and wore those necklaces. To think that they just earned me a check for eight hundred and fifty dollars from the gold buyers is just unimaginable.

I knew a few of my friends had discussed how they sell gold jewelry all the time but I just thought that they might get a few dollars from it, I never thought that by selling off some old pieces, you could make a house payment with it. I decided to take half of the money and put it towards the house payment but take the other half and just splurge.

I would recommend to anyone with some old gold just lying around to check into how much money you can actually get to sell gold jewelry to an online dealer, a local jewelry store or like I did, at the antique show. The gold buyers are popping up everywhere with the price that gold is these days.
