Mesothelioma is a cancer like disease that occurs due to prolong exposure to asbestos fibers. The common victims of this fatal disease are those working in factories where asbestos is used in production process. This disease develops when the asbestos particles gathers in space between the mesothelioma cells through the inhalation. Mesothelioma is not confined to the people working in asbestos fibers containing environment but it can easily transfer from one place to another with air waves or through the worker’s clothes and can harm the other household.

Mesothelioma like cancer develops without showing any obvious symptoms and usually diagnosed when it is no its last stage and gets hard to be cured. The common symptoms in mesothelioma include cough, fever, fatigue, bowl obstruction and cough with blood. Because of these common and less harmful symptoms, it is very hard to diagnose the mesothelioma. The most common used test to diagnose the mesothelioma or asbestos cancer includes chest x-ray, CT scan, MIR scan or biopsy test. In biopsy test, a sample of defected tissue is taken for further diagnosis and evolution of treatment.

Mesothelioma can be treated only when diagnosed at early stage. When it gets rooted into body, the complete reduction of disease is not possible because the cancerous cells can easily transfer from one place to another. However, the treatments used for cure include radiation therapy, palliative therapy and surgery.
