Some Disadvantages Associated with Mobile Billboard Advertising
Advertising March 5th, 2008Today, there are situations and events that lend themselves well to mobile outdoor advertising. Unfortunately, not all advertising needs can be met with this method. Depending on how you elect to carry out a mobile advertising campaign, it can be costly and cumbersome. Consider what will happen if you have a onetime event and elect to carry out the entire process yourself.
To begin, once the event is over, you will have a very large board with an old message on it laying around your home or garage. Even if you paint over it, or try to use mobile billboards for something else, you will need to take the time to accomplish that. If you, or a family member are naturally inclined to wood working, or other construction pursuits, this may not be an issue. On the other hand, if your sole objective was a onetime mobile billboard advertising campaign, you may find yourself unhappy with the clutter.
Next, you will need to consider the cost of driving around with a mobile billboard attached to your vehicle. As the price of gas steadily approaches $4.00 per gallon, you will seriously need to think about whether or not some other advertising method might better serve your purposes. In conjunction with this, a mobile billboard that obstructs the view of other drivers, or falls into the road can be a safety hazard. If you are certain that you want to go ahead with a mobile billboard advertising campaign, it may simply be more prudent to hire a professional to do the job for you.
